Hurricane Sandy

Hi: this is Bob Goodman and it is Friday afternoon and we want to have this blog ready in case Hurricane Sandy interferes with our normal email communications.  I will send out an email so that people will know how to get to this blog in an emergency.  My personal email is Bob.Goodman@gmail.com and my skype address is robertVgoodman .   Hopefully we will not need to use this and that Ohio State beats Penn State.

Power Back On

The maintenance on the power system is now complete. I should be able to start turning servers back on by 11am, US Eastern Time.

Power Outage Underway

The power outage at Friends Center is underway, as of about 6am. It should last for 6 to 10 hours.

Planned Power Outage, August 4

There is a power outage planned at Friends Center for tomorrow, Saturday August 4. The power outage will begin at 6am US Eastern Time. Servers will begin to shut down at 5:15am. ALL AFSC AND PYM SERVERS WILL BE OFF LINE DURING THE OUTAGE. The outage is expected to last from six to ten hours. So power should be back on sometime between noon and 4pm.

Check back in to this blog periodically on Saturday for progress reports. I will post here any information that I receive about the estimated time of completion.
